Description
The anhinga is an extrovert of the bird world. Loud, demonstrative, gangly young arguing about and fighting for food morsels delivered by the parents, make them a treat to watch and photograph. One wonders how the parents survive the feeding frenzy, with stiletto-like beaks jabbing at their faces. The range of the anhinga in North America is limited to the southeastern US and Mexican coastal areas and Cuba. These particular anhingas were found at the Audubon Preserve in Venice, Florida. The image has a ceramic feel to it. This is the transparency version.
