Hydrangea macrophylla is native to Japan, growing to 7 feet tall. It may also be called French Hydrangea, lacecap hydrangea, mophead hydrangea, penny mac and Hortensia. Practical uses of this plant include a beverage made from fermented leaves (Amacha), a drug with possible antiallergic and antimicrobial properties, use in Tasmania in building protection zones due to its low flammability, and investigations into possible antimalarial and anti-diabetic use.
Looking for the perfect capture remains my quest. To that effect, roaming about with a motor home seems a perfect fit. My wife and dogs and I will be out there whenever possible to capture the views available, and those unique moments to share with our friends and family. Join us in this quest.
