This hawk is seen throughout the eastern half of the United States, eastern Mexico, and the US west coast. As a predator it eats a variety of small reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and birds, and is active during the day.
Looking for the perfect capture remains my quest. To that effect, roaming about with a motor home seems a perfect fit.
