For those interested in art and design, the Sarasota Ringling College of Art and Design provides the opportunity for a first-class education. It is situated on the north side of downtown Sarasota, Florida. Loaded with many galleries, a brand-new state-of-the-art library, a soon-to-be-opened glass art facility and gallery, a pleasant campus, and proximity to the arts scene of Sarasota itself, this college provides training in everything from design, to photography, to the business of art. Its galleries display student, faculty, and invited art. This image shows the outside lounge area off the 3rd floor, designed to keep one more comfortable in the intense Florida sun.
It also provides community programs for adults and youth, all year round. The college is also involved in outreach to Longboat Key, and is creating a new museum in downtown Sarasota, the Sarasota Museum of Art (SMOA).
Looking for the perfect capture remains my quest. To that effect, roaming about with a motor home seems a perfect fit. My wife and dogs and I will be out there whenever possible to capture the views available, and those unique moments to share with our friends and family. Join us in this quest.
