The anhinga is an extrovert of the bird world. Loud, demonstrative, gangly young arguing about and fighting for food morsels delivered by the parents, make them a treat to watch and photograph. These two were anticipating their next meal delivery and are ready to fight for it if necessary. The range of the anhinga in North America is limited to the southeastern US and Mexican coastal areas and Cuba. These particular anhingas were found at the Audubon Preserve in Venice, Florida. This image was digitally manipulated to help us focus on the dynamics of these two birds rather than scenery.
Looking for the perfect capture remains my quest. To that effect, roaming about with a motor home seems a perfect fit. My wife and dogs and I will be out there whenever possible to capture the views available, and those unique moments to share with our friends and family. Join us in this quest.
