Description
Bulbulcus ibis. This is the only white egret with both a yellow bill and yellow legs. They did not exist outside of Africa until the late 19th century. A group of cattle egrets is known as a stampede of egrets. During peak breeding season, the bill, legs and irises turn a bright red. They nest with other egrets and herons.
